Counter fit Kit AUgust Part 2

The second half of the kit weren’t the layouts for the January Luau.  The weather that day consisted of ice rain & dark gray clouds.  Some of the layouts for this part of the kit had been started just needed to be finished.  For the most part I had papers, stickers & embellishments picked out.  I just needed to color, cut out & assemble.

See how the second half of the kit turned out:

This is the opening 2 page layouts that set the mood for this cold Luau.  THis paper was chosen as opening page because it gave me the color scheme for the rest of the layouts & set the mood for a winter Luau;

Part of the Luau events was snowman building contest in an open field.  These pages are a combination of mixed media, in its true form - many different medias brought together to create a finished project.

Where the plough had gone through there was palls of ice.  Cyrus decided to create a snow fort with these blocks.  His hope was to get a snowball fight started but the snow was covered in ice & was powder on the underside.

These two layouts are companion layouts.  Helping young friends have fun.

The sidewalks were so icy it was quite easy to slip and fall.  Cyrus used them to his advantage as he did some icy luau dancing with his trusty hula hoop

Hula-Hooping is not a skill that everyone can do.  Originally I Was only going to do one book of of Hula Hooping but decided to do two- one with the green hair and one without.  The books have 7 pages each.  Each page has an increased number of Hula hoops.  Even on ice Cyrus can do 11 at a time maybe more we didn't have any more hula hoops.

It was such a lousy dau hot chocolate was served to warm people up.  Some people just came for the Hot Chocolate and had no interest in building snow man, playing games or playing in the snow.  We were glad they came.

THis is the pineapple layout.  At  the end of the event we helped clean up.  We asked what was to be done with the pineapples the person in charge thought he would send them home with his workers,.  Because of his entertainment, Cyrus was allowed to take home 6 pineapples.  His good heart came through as he shared them with many people.

From this half of the kit this is what is left.  I knew I had pulled more than needed for the project and am happy with what I used.  The rest will return to the stash.

I used most of what I pulled for both halves of the kit.  This was a large kit month & I am pleased with what I got done.  I got 2 different projects done & into albums this month.

Counterfit Kit August 2021 Layouts part 1

This is the first part of my August kit..  These pages came together quickly.  June 2018 - Vision has four areas: Look Inward, Look Outward, Look Up & Look Down.  For the opening page I used all the colors of my on the opening page.

The blues & pinks predominately were used across the series.  I used Close to My Heart ink & a stamp set that is no longer available for the titles.  The pink ribbon trim is also Close to My Heart.  The rest is bits & pieces found in my stash.  Theses 2 pages compliment each other while expressing very different Vision.

The stamping & Inks are once again Close to My Heart,  The picture had a large white border perfect for stamping mushrooms across the bottom of in an effort to enhance the theme.  The paper was a newer one from Cardebella.

for Look up I tries a different style of paper.  It was a sheet with a map on it but the colors were those of the original kit,.  I cut the clouds out of the dark blue paper,  This was foggy early morning and the moon made a brief appearance.  I like how this page turned out.

This last picture is not part of the Vision collection but was taken the same day as the moon making an appearance.  I had the opportunity to watch the sunrise..  I love how the sky had small bits of res & pink.  I used scraps from Look Up.  To get red I used red glitter glue.

Four Seasons - Spring

As a new Close To My Heart Maker I have decided to showcase some scrapbooking layouts.  I am a 81/2 x 11 scrapper.  Almost all my papers ge...
