Day 1 challenge: pick a themed paper that will be at least half of background. Use this paper on a non-related theme layout.
I found this pretty Spring Floral in Easter colors that I am going to use for a Christmas layout. The 8 petal flowers remind me of snowflakes. The pictures are traditional red/green, not my favorite color combinations. The purple floral seems to work well with the pictures & to add a pop of color while avoiding certain colors. Nothing has been cut down or attached yet while waiting to see what step 2 will be.
Day 2 challenge: Add a Snowflake & have 3 layers behind photos
This goes along with day 2. I already was going to do the snowflakes. I will make sure there are 3 snowflakes down .To carry over the green I could use small snowflake stamp & heat emboss in green 3 snowflakes between pictures. This will help to carry the green across the paper. Waiting to see what else is to come, but could add small tags with the words hanging from snowflakes
Day 4: Use a stamp
I was already planning on using the small snowflake to stamp & heat emboss a row between the pictures so this step will be quite simple.
Day 5: Use a die cut
I don't have a die cut machine but created the snowflakes with the stencil. I cut them out they are now die cuts & are layers behind my pictures
Day 6: Pre Made Title/Word & Pocket Card
Going through bits & pieces I found a pre-cut die cut thought bubble with Family printed on it. It is red on white & goes well with the family picture while not distracting from the layout. I need to see if I even own any pocket cards because as a rule I avoid them.
Day 7: Puffy Stickers & Splatters
I don't do splatters. As I looked at Winter Stickers, I found a few sheets of puffy stickers. I added 2 red puffy snowflakes, one to each corner of the photos.
